Northern Education Trust Buile Hill Academy celebrates record GCSE success
Northern Education Trust Buile Hill Academy has been a proud member of the trust since September 2024, and is thrilled to celebrate an exceptional set of GCSE results this year. The whole school community is enjoying this moment of success, which reflects the incredible dedication of students, staff and families, all underpinned by the trust’s values of aspiration, resilience, respect, integrity, and a relentless focus on outcomes.
- In English and maths combined, the percentage of students achieving a grade 4 or above has risen from 33% in 2024 to an impressive 65.1% in 2025 – an increase of over 32 percentage points.
- The percentage of students achieving a grade 5 or above has jumped from 16.8% in 2024 to a magnificent 49.4% in 2025, a gain of almost 33 percentage points.
- The academy’s average point score (APS) has also climbed significantly, from 30.4 in 2024 to 42.0 in 2025.
- The academy significantly improved its pupil premium results and looks set to exceed national averages for PP students by 10% in both 5+ and 4+ English and maths.
- The academy also significantly improved its results for SEND students, with a 14% increase in SEND students achieving 5+ in English and maths and a 17% increase in SEND students achieving 4+ compared with last year’s results.
